The minutes of the December meeting were read and approved. (the one I never got)

Brett introduced Jason Schroeder, our visitor who has a trainer and is just getting started in the RC Hobby. He has spent a lot of time on a simulator and has flown several times. Hopefully when the weather changes we can get Jason on the buddy box and get him some air time.

If you would like some fliers you can print as many as you need from the web site or send a email to zarksrcclub@hotmail.com and we will get you as many fliers as you want.

Bill Bangert reported on gas consumption this year, Year to date the tractor (repairs and fuel) has cost $454.00. We really need to thank again Bill and George for keeping the field and equipment in such good shape. Every week it had to be mowed this season they really stepped up and got it done. Thank you
A special thanks goes out to everyone who came out to enjoy the wiener roast on October 9. We had great weather and I have not seen so many members, family, and guest at the field in a long time. (at least 30+) We had planes and heli of every shape and size and the flying was wild, at one time we had so many planes in the air you got dizzy just trying to watch them. The 40% planes really put on a show as they danced in the sky with their graceful moves. The heil flying displayed by Ken Mitchell was great to watch as always and It makes you wish you had half the skills he has. Let's talk about the food, I know one thing for sure you didn't go home hungry, that was the biggest spread of food and it was all great. I would like to thank Jason Purtee for coming out to spend the day with us, Jason had such a great time he became a member to our club. Welcome Jason!! I would like to say thank you once more for everyone who made this a fun and great day. We need more weekend like this one.

2011 Zarks Cookout October 9 th.

It's soon going to be the second Sunday in October and we all know what this means, the 25th. annual club wiener roast. So get those planes and helis ready, cook up a great side dish, and get your fork and plate ready because we will have a great day of flying and eating. Jon has reported the grills are working great and if you don't want hot dogs then bring anything you want and throw it on the grill. I guess I forgot one thing, the club meeting. We will try to have a meeting between all the flying and eating so I better add the minutes from the last meeting.

Thanks For The Extra Mile

We have to make note of several people who has gone the extra mile to make our field and web site one of the best in the area. Bill Bangert and George Hughes have been keeping the tractor running and the mowing done every week especially this mowing season with all the rain and the heat. Secondly Brett Bradley who has built three (and I think others are in the works) safety tables, they look great and add a lot to the field appearance and safety (we look like we know what we are doing). Last we would like to say a special thanks to Beau Bradley (Brett son) for the work he has done on the new look of our web site. This has made our web site 100% better. THANKS GENTLEMEN !!!

OLD BUSINESS

Jon was going to try to send George a copy of the membership list. (I think he forgot) Jerry said there would be no more rain so we could go ahead and do the Fun Fly weekend with events, camping and night flying. (of course who thought we would have this prolonged heat wave with the heat indexes of 110 degrees) We need everybody input to come up with a date.

 NEW BUSINESS

George Hughes reported the tractor should be in good shape with the new tire (used), and having a spare bearing for the deck, will help keep the tractor running for the rest of the season.
